The gangs of Haiti – The criminal coalition

They now control most of the capital, including +80% of the city. The situation in 2025: – Almost 6,000 people dead from gang violence in 2025 alone – Over 1.4 million internally displaced – Gangs finance themselves through kidnappings and extortion, with frequent gun battles against police – Schools and healthcare facilities are closed or repeatedly attacked. Humanitarian aid only reaches neighborhoods under major security risks.
